About  Touray Kunda Farm (TKF). 

Touray kunda Farm is a private entity operating across the horticultural value chain. This enterprise is
legally registered by law and has created employment opportunities to women and youths. The manager
and staff of Touray Kunda Farm are highly qualified and experience in the horticulture value chain ranging
from soil selection to the table. The owner & manager has worked in various capacities across the
horticultural value chain including market linkage consultancy, training of youths and women on best
agricultural practices, Entrepreneurial training to youths and women, among other things.
The business was formally established in 2019 with the objective of contributing towards self-food
sufficiency, creating employment opportunities for the youths, minimize rural urban drift more so the back
way syndrome, minimizing food wastage by adding value to agricultural products, reduce malnutrition,
increase income of the local farmers by creating market for them, conduct trainings to transfer skills to
women and youths to increase production and productivity.

 

PRODUCTS & SERVICES
Products: The business sells and process vegetables, fruits and cereals. List of products and services are
as follows:
Cereals: Karaw, Findi, Cherreh, Shanghal, Chakery, Moringa powder, Moringa seeds, Churra
gerrte, Mbahal, groundnut paste/ butter (Deggeh), Naan Mburro, Wonjo powder, baobab powder, baby
food, Okra powder, hot pepper sauce, mango jam, tomato purée, among other things.
Vegetable and fruits include: onions, Tomatoes, Cabbages, Okra, Carrots, Honey melons,
Potatoes, Water melon, Sweet potatoes, Courgetti, Sweet Pepper, Hot Pepper, Avocado, Apple,
Banana, and many more Services:

The Company does both short term and long-term trainings and apprenticeship to women
and youths in food processing, farm practical and agro marketing. They also do delivery services within
Greater Banjul and part of the West Coast Region to orders exceeding certain amount at a minimal fee.
They also do consultancy service across the horticultural value chain such as vegetable production
techniques and market linkages.
Because of its quality delivery service its also served as an outlet to some processing cereal enterprises
like “NDEMBALLANTE” whose process products like Findi, Karaw, moringa powder etc. are bought by
customers and send to their relatives in abroad..
